Coronavirus Update June 2020
Here at Redbourn MOT Centre, the health and welfare of our customers and team members is our number one priority. We have taken a number of steps to protect everyone who visits.
The government's MOT Test extension policy has been implemented. It is still your responsibility to keep your vehicle in a safe and roadworthy condition. Drivers could be fined up to £2500 plus penalty points for driving an unsafe vehicle. If your vehicle's MOT is technically overdue and you need peace of mind it is in a safe and roadworthy condition, just have your vehicle MOT tested as usual, it is still the cheapest vehicle health check available.
Please be aware there are 30 million MOT tests carried out throughout the UK annually. A six month MOT extension will create a massive backlog of vehicles requiring MOT tests during September/October. Test centres maybe unable to respond to the high volumes required resulting in vehicles being driven illegally; without an MOT test, unable to purchase motor tax, and it may also create insurance problems.
